Liquid ousts G2 to reach BLAST Bounty Malta finals

Liquid defeated G2 to secure a place at the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 finals in Malta next week. The team joins FaZe among the first qualifiers for the LAN event.

Liquid fielded recent signings Johnny ‘JT’ Theodosiou and Georgi ‘Jorko’ Mitev. The retooled lineup beat Vitality in the opener and then eliminated G2 to advance from the online phase to the Malta finals.

Liquid won Anubis despite losing both pistol rounds and closed out Mirage through sustained pressure from its core players.

Jorko, a Bulgarian AWPer, averaged a 1.29 rating across the online phase. He posted a 29–16 K–D line, 76.4 average damage per round (ADR) and a 1.38 rating against G2. Jonathan ‘EliGE’ Jablonowski finished the series 36–21, with 97.4 ADR and a 1.45 rating.

Mario ‘malbsMd’ Samayoa went 27–21 with 70.1 ADR and a 1.17 rating. Keith ‘NAF’ Markovic recorded 26–14, 69.3 ADR and a 1.16 rating. JT had a 27–23 line, 87.8 ADR and a 1.06 rating.

G2 added Artem ‘r1nkle’ Moroz in the offseason, replacing Álvaro ‘SunPayus’ García. r1nkle finished 24–25 with 67.9 ADR and a 1.05 rating. The roster scored 11 rounds across the two maps against Liquid.

Other G2 stats included Guy ‘NertZ’ Iluz at 23–30, 70.0 ADR and a 0.96 rating; Matúš ‘MATYS’ Šimko at 16–30, 55.7 ADR and a 0.67 rating; Nikita ‘HeavyGod’ Martynenko at 17–30, 51.8 ADR and a 0.64 rating; and Nemanja ‘huNter-‘ Kovač at 13–30, 39.7 ADR and a 0.61 rating.

Liquid will travel to Malta next week for the BLAST Bounty finals to compete for the event title.
