Liquid, B8, GamerLegion and Ninjas in Pyjamas are among 10 teams confirmed for Logitech G Play Connect, a $100,000 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive LAN tournament set for Sept. 17–23 in Warsaw, Poland. The event will stage its arena playoffs at EXPO XXI.
The main event will feature a 12-team field. Teams will be split into two round-robin groups of six, with each match played as a best-of-one. The top three teams from each group will advance to the arena playoffs, and group winners will move directly into the semi-finals.
Organizers have issued 10 direct invitations and will award the remaining two main-event berths via a closed qualifier. The closed qualifier runs Aug. 27–Sept. 5 and will include 24 teams, with the eight highest-ranked entrants seeded directly into the qualifier playoffs.
An open qualifier on Aug. 22 will supply two teams to the closed qualifier. In total, two teams from the closed qualifier will earn spots in the Warsaw main event.
Logitech G Play Connect carries a $100,000 prize pool and is classified as a tier-two VRS-ranked event. Matches in Warsaw will provide VRS ranking points in addition to prize money.
Organizers have confirmed 10 invited teams so far and will announce the remaining invited sides and the list of closed-qualifier participants ahead of the August qualifiers.
