Legacy sign Santino ‘try’ Rigal to complete roster

Legacy have signed Santino “try” Rigal from Imperial, the club confirmed after reports surfaced on June 26. The 21-year-old AWPer will take the active slot previously held by Guilherme “saadzin” Pacheco.

Saadzin was traded to Imperial as part of the arrangement, creating the opening in Legacy’s lineup.

Try arrives after a multi-month loan spell at Passion UA, where he averaged a 1.09 rating while that lineup struggled and later disbanded. Before the loan he spent 18 months at Imperial and posted a 1.19 rating.

Legacy explored other options earlier in the summer, including interest in Felipe “insani” Yuji and Tomas “tomaszin” Corna. Those discussions did not progress after Vinicius “n1ssim” Pereira, who had requested a move to the bench following IEM Cologne, returned to the active squad and insani remained with MIBR through the end of the year.

Legacy’s active roster now lists Andrei “arT” Piovezan, Bruno “latto” Rebelatto, Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer, Vinicius “n1ssim” Pereira and Santino “try” Rigal, with Alan “adrrr” Riveros as coach.

Try reunites with dumau and latto, teammates from their time together at 00NATION and on stage at IEM Rio Major 2022.

His first competitive appearance for Legacy will be at the Esports World Cup, scheduled for August 12–23, giving the team a full lineup to prepare for the event.
