Legacy beats TYLOO 13-7, 13-4 to reach IEM Cologne Stage 3

Legacy defeated TYLOO 13-7 on Mirage and 13-4 on Inferno in the Stage 2 decider to qualify for Stage 3 of the IEM Cologne Major.

Legacy defeated TYLOO in the Stage 2 decider at the IEM Cologne Major, winning Mirage 13-7 and Inferno 13-4 to advance to Stage 3.

On Mirage TYLOO won the opening pistol and opened a 3-0 lead. Legacy then regained control as the map progressed and closed Mirage with a five-round run to seal a 13-7 victory. Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer led Legacy on Mirage with a +8.49% swing and a 1.89 rating.

On Inferno Legacy took the CT-side pistol and built a ten-round first half. TYLOO won the second pistol round, with Dongkai “Jee” Ji and Su “Zero” Jingshen accounting for all five frags in that round, but Legacy recovered two rounds later and finished the map 13-4. Guilherme “saadzin” Pacheco posted a +12.86% swing and a 2.05 rating on Inferno.

Across both maps Bruno “latto” Rebelatto led Legacy with a 1.57 rating and a 33-19 kill-death line. Saadzin recorded 27-15 and a 1.50 rating, while dumau finished 31-24 with a 1.40 rating. For TYLOO, Jee ended 31-27 with a 1.08 rating and Zero 27-25 with a 0.96 rating; Jingxiang “Mercury” Wang posted a 9-30 line and a 0.49 rating.

Less than a month earlier the teams met at the CS Asia Championship, where Legacy also won in overtime. Legacy’s victory in Cologne advances the Brazilian side from Stage 2, while fellow Brazilian teams paiN and MIBR did not progress.

Stage 3 of the IEM Cologne Major will feature the remaining qualified teams competing for the Major title and prize money.
