KSCERATO: ‘No one remembers second place’ as FURIA chase title

FURIA advanced to the IEM Cologne Major grand final after defeating Aurora in the semi-final. KSCERATO urged the team to concentrate on winning rather than celebrating the milestone, saying ‘No one remembers second place’ and calling for tactical focus ahead of the final.

The match featured disciplined mid-round reads, several clutch plays and rotations that disrupted Aurora’s game plan. FURIA won by a clear margin on the scoreboard and executed adjustments on key rounds to secure the victory.

On Nuke, FURIA altered their original door-hit plan after Aurora contested that area. KSCERATO recalled telling in-game leader FalleN that the door approach ‘wasn’t working’ because Aurora were contesting and spamming the main entrance and using a smoke over hut. He credited quick adaptations for turning the map in FURIA’s favor and called Aurora his ‘arkadaşes’, the Turkish word for ‘friend’.

FURIA’s next opponent will be the winner of the lower bracket final between Falcons and Spirit. KSCERATO quoted his father’s remark, ‘who wants to win doesn’t choose the enemy,’ and indicated there was no preference; FURIA lost to both Falcons and Spirit earlier in the year.

KSCERATO spoke about his late father and grandfather during the semi-final introduction and said he felt emotional, adding that he believes they are proud. FURIA will play for the IEM Cologne Major title in the grand final, with their opponent to be decided by the lower bracket final.
