Karmine Corp vs. G2 to headline LEC Spring Playoffs

Karmine Corp and G2 meet May 24 after Team Vitality selected Movistar KOI for the upper-bracket opener on May 23.
The LEC Spring Playoffs bracket is set. Team Vitality, the regular-season first seed, used its selection to pick Movistar KOI for the upper-bracket semifinal. Vitality will face MKOI on Friday, May 23 at 5 p.m. CET. Karmine Corp and G2 Esports will meet in the other upper-bracket semifinal on Saturday, May 24 at 5 p.m. CET.
Movistar KOI earned a top-four finish after a 2-1 win over G2 on April 29, which pushed MKOI ahead of NAVI in the regular-season standings. MKOI has won three of the last five series against the top seed.
Both opening matches are best-of-five series. The upper-bracket final is scheduled for May 25. The winner of the upper bracket will secure a place in the Mid-Season Invitational play-ins by the end of the first playoff weekend.
Teams that lose in the upper bracket are not eliminated; they move to the lower bracket and must win consecutive best-of-five series to reach the grand final.
The lower bracket begins the following weekend. NAVI will face the first upper-bracket loser on May 30. GIANTX will play the other upper-bracket loser on May 31. The lower-bracket semifinal is set for June 1, the lower-bracket final for June 6, and the grand final for June 7. All playoff rounds are best-of-five.
G2 holds 18 LEC titles. Karmine Corp acquired the former Astralis franchise slot in 2024 and won its first LEC title in the 2025 Winter split with a 3-0 win over G2, becoming the first French club to win the league. G2 defeated Karmine 3-2 in the 2026 LEC Versus grand final.
Vitality’s selection of MKOI followed MKOI’s late-season win over G2 and the club’s recent results against the top seed. The bracket puts Karmine Corp and G2 on a collision course in the upper bracket while MKOI opens the playoffs against Vitality.
