Jorko: I keep things light to prevent teammates tilting

After Team Liquid beat Vitality and G2 online but lost to Spirit on LAN at BLAST Bounty, Georgi “Jorko” Mitev said he keeps the atmosphere light to prevent teammates tilting.

Georgi “Jorko” Mitev spoke after Team Liquid’s BLAST Bounty appearance, which included online wins over Vitality and G2 and a loss to Spirit on the LAN stage. The event marked the first live tests for Liquid’s new roster.

Jorko rated the squad’s debut positively, calling the outing “10 out of 10.” He highlighted a strong Dust2 performance and said the team found rhythm in several rounds despite the mixed results across the three matches.

He acknowledged errors that affected tight rounds, pointing to individual decisions as decisive factors. Jorko mentioned overpeeks and a tendency to play quickly as moments that swung close rounds against Spirit. He added, “I still made a lot of individual macro mistakes that I’m really not too happy about.” He expects repetition and more discipline to reduce those mistakes and improve clutch pacing.

On his role in the squad, Jorko brought a party popper to the event and described his approach as simple. “I’m just being myself,” he said, adding that he aims to keep teammates from feeling tilted or distracted so they can focus on matches. Teammate Jake “JT” Tyronn has pointed to Jorko as a source of fresh energy for the lineup.

Liquid will travel to Stockholm for the Stake event next. Jorko warned that lower-ranked opponents can still be difficult and urged caution, saying the team should not take any match for granted. He noted the roster gained VRS points and live experience together to address before the upcoming event.
