JamYoung powers TYLOO to 13-10 Anubis win over Sharks

JamYoung posted a 2.37 rating and 15 kills on Anubis as TYLOO beat Sharks 13-10 at IEM Cologne, advancing to the final 2-2 pool and eliminating the Brazilian side.

Yi “JamYoung” Yang produced a 2.37 rating and 15 kills on Anubis as TYLOO defeated Sharks 13-10 in the decider at the IEM Cologne Major, completing a 2-1 series win. TYLOO advances to the final 2-2 pool; Sharks are eliminated from the event.

The best-of-three opened on Sharks’ map pick, Nuke. João “koala” Pfeffer opened with a four-kill AK round and Sharks built an eight-round T-side lead, closing the map 13-6.

TYLOO recovered on Inferno. The Chinese side lost the opening pistol to an ace from koala and trailed early, but moved to an 8-4 halftime lead. After losing the post-switch pistol, TYLOO won five consecutive rounds to secure a 13-5 victory.

On Anubis TYLOO trailed 1-5 before recovering to a 6-6 halftime score. JamYoung recorded 15 kills and a 111.4 ADR on the T side. After the change of sides, Máximo “maxxkor” Cortina produced a P250 sequence that gave Sharks a three-round advantage. TYLOO called a timeout and then won the late rounds to close the map 13-10. On Anubis JamYoung finished with a 2.37 map rating and a +11.29% round swing.

Over the series JamYoung posted a 61-33 K-D, a 1.87 overall rating, 105.0 ADR and an 88.3% KAST. For Sharks, João “koala” Pfeffer finished 42-36 K-D with a 1.23 rating. Máximo “maxxkor” Cortina ended 39-32 K-D and Victor “gafolo” Andrade finished 34-35 K-D.

The result eliminates Sharks from the IEM Cologne Major. TYLOO will compete in the tournament’s final 2-2 pool for a chance to reach the playoff bracket.
