IEM Cologne Stage 1: TYLOO, Liquid and BIG advance
TYLOO, Liquid and BIG claimed the three Stage 2 berths at IEM Cologne Major on June 5, 2026, after wins over Lynn Vision, FlyQuest and NRG in Cologne.
On June 5, 2026, in Cologne, six teams contested three Stage 1 matches at the IEM Cologne Major for three available places in Stage 2. The matches were scheduled at local times: TYLOO vs Lynn Vision at 12:00, Liquid vs FlyQuest at 14:30 and BIG vs NRG at 17:00. The winners of each match moved on to Stage 2; the losing teams were eliminated from Major contention.
TYLOO defeated Lynn Vision to secure a Stage 2 slot. Liquid beat FlyQuest to advance; that match featured Justin “jks” Savage opposite players he previously represented. BIG closed the day with a victory over NRG while playing in front of a home crowd in Cologne, taking the final available Stage 2 berth.
Stage 1 used single-elimination for progression, meaning a match win was required to advance. The three teams that progressed will join squads that qualified directly for Stage 2. Stage 2 will determine which teams reach the playoffs under the event’s Major format, with a new bracket setup and a higher concentration of seeded entrants.
