IEM Cologne Stage 1: GamerLegion vs BIG in 2-1 clash

IEM Cologne Major Stage 1 continues June 4 with GamerLegion facing BIG in a 2-1 qualifying match; three elimination games and two other 2-1 matches are on the card.

GamerLegion meets BIG on June 4, 2026, in a best-of-three 2-1 pool match at the IEM Cologne Major Stage 1. The winner will move closer to a Stage 2 berth; the loser will remain in Stage 1 and need additional wins to advance.

Play begins with two elimination-window matches at 12:00 CEST, when THUNDER dOWNUNDER faces FlyQuest and TYLOO meets Sharks. The 2-1 pool opens at 14:30 CEST with GamerLegion against BIG and MIBR versus Lynn Vision. M80 and NRG close the qualifying slate at 17:00 CEST. The day ends with an elimination match between Liquid and HEROIC at 17:00 CEST.

Day two saw BetBoom and B8 advance to the next stage, while SINNERS and Gaimin Gladiators were eliminated. GamerLegion arrives after a loss to BetBoom and will seek a win to keep their Stage 2 hopes alive. BIG beat THUNDER dOWNUNDER earlier in the event and will attempt to secure advancement with a victory in this match.

MIBR and Lynn Vision will play for a Stage 2 spot in the early afternoon session; a win from either team in the 2-1 pool will guarantee progression. M80 and NRG will compete later for the remaining qualifying place in the 2-1 pool.

The elimination bracket requires a win for teams in the 1-2 window to remain in the Major. THUNDER dOWNUNDER versus FlyQuest and TYLOO versus Sharks are single-elimination matches at noon CEST; Liquid and HEROIC meet in the evening in the final elimination match of the day.

All remaining Stage 1 matches are best-of-three. The results on June 4 will determine which three teams advance from Stage 1 to Stage 2 and which three teams are eliminated from the Cologne Major.
