ESL will host IEM Brazil May 3-9, 2027, in a Brazilian city to be announced; the event carries a $1,000,000 prize pool and a 16-team field.

ESL will host IEM Brazil from May 3 to 9, 2027, in a Brazilian city that has not yet been announced, the organizer confirmed. The tournament will offer a $1,000,000 prize pool and feature a 16-team field.

Eleven teams will receive invites via the global VRS. North America and South America will each supply one regional VRS invite. The remaining three berths will be decided through qualifiers: two spots from global qualifying events and one from the Americas qualifiers.

Competition will begin with a group stage made up of two groups of eight teams. Each group will use a double-elimination, best-of-three format. Four teams from each group will advance to a single-elimination playoff bracket.

ESL listed IEM Brazil on its 2027 calendar alongside IEM Krakow (January 27-February 7), ESL Pro League Season 25 (March 6-14) and IEM USA (April 5-11). The 2027 schedule continues with three additional ESL events running from August into November.

ESL held the 2026 IEM Brazil event in Rio de Janeiro. The organizer has not released the host city, venue or ticketing details for the 2027 event, and further information on the host city, match sites and broadcast plans is expected ahead of the tournament.
