HEROIC, B8 clinch final spots at IEM Beijing
HEROIC and B8 secured the final two spots at the IEM Beijing closed qualifier on April 9, 2026; B8 dropped one map in four matches and HEROIC won their lower-bracket decider 2-0.
The IEM Beijing closed qualifier concluded on April 9, 2026, finalizing the last two entrants for the Chinese event. The main tournament will be held in Beijing from November 2–8 with a $1.25 million prize pool.
B8 advanced through the closed qualifier across four matches, losing a single map. The team defeated Nuclear TigeRES 2-0 in the upper-bracket final to claim one of the remaining spots at IEM Beijing. Nuclear TigeRES moved to the lower bracket after that loss and were eliminated after losing the lower-bracket final.
HEROIC reached the main event by winning their lower-bracket decider 2-0. The squad had been sent to the lower bracket by Eternal Fire earlier in the qualifier. Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin posted a 1.38 rating in the deciding match.
With these results, the closed qualifier field is complete. HEROIC and B8 will join invited teams and other qualifier winners at IEM Beijing to compete for the prize pool and ranking points.
