Hampus returns to Johnny Speeds as in-game leader

Hampus returns to Johnny Speeds as their in-game leader after five months away, reuniting with William “draken” Sundin.

Hampus Poser has rejoined Johnny Speeds as the team’s in-game leader after five months away from competition. The 27-year-old Swedish caller left 500 in January and began looking for a new team in February.

Johnny Speeds announced the signing and said the addition reunites Hampus with William “draken” Sundin; the two previously played together at Johnny Speeds earlier in 2024.

Hampus publicly described his recovery from a cancer diagnosis last year and posted “I beat that shit GGEZ” as part of his return to competition.

The organization has been overhauling its roster, benching Adam “friberg” Friberg, Tim “nawwk” Jonasson and Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson on Tuesday. The club’s active lineup now includes Ludvig “HEAP” Alonso, Jacob “jocab” Nerheden, William “draken” Sundin and Hampus “hampus” Poser.

Hampus previously captained Ninjas in Pyjamas. At Johnny Speeds he will be responsible for tactical direction and in-match calls.

Johnny Speeds did not provide a timetable for the squad’s next events or details on how the new leadership will be integrated into practice and upcoming matches.
