Game Square opens Red Bull Gaming Hub in Parramatta

Game Square, the gaming deployment arm of ADVA Group, has opened Australia’s second Red Bull Gaming Hub at 110 George Street in Parramatta’s Octagon Building. The 550-square-metre facility includes high-performance gaming PCs, premium console lounges, streaming and content-creation pods, and modular spaces for events.

The venue is designed for gamers, creators, students and local competitive players across New South Wales. Internal layouts provide areas for tournaments, rooms for educational workshops and space for community activities, with technical infrastructure for both casual visits and organised events.

Game Square worked with commercial partners Red Bull Australia, Razer Australia, Secretlab and monitor maker AOC to fit out the hub. Western Sydney University Student Union is listed as the facility’s educational partner and will help link programming to the local student population.

The Parramatta site follows Game Square’s first Red Bull Gaming Hub at the University of Technology Sydney, which opened in August 2023. Game Square plans to run daily community sessions as well as larger competitive events at the new hub.

Stephen Hanna, chief executive officer of ADVA Group, commented that Parramatta was chosen to reach an underserved gaming demographic in Western Sydney and described the venue as “a welcoming place where students, gamers and creators can meet, compete, build friendships and participate in the wider gaming community.”

Located on a central city-fringe address, the Octagon Building site aims to attract local residents and students from nearby campuses. Hardware partners will provide equipment for competitive play and streaming, and scheduled programming will include public sessions, organised tournaments, educational workshops and creator-focused activations.
