Game Changers EMEA Grand Finals return to Istanbul Aug. 30

Riot Games confirmed the Game Changers EMEA Stage 3 Grand Finals will take place at Istanbul’s ESA Esports Arena on Aug. 30. Tickets for the event go on sale Aug. 3.

The match will decide which EMEA Game Changers teams qualify for the VALORANT Game Changers Championship in November.

The event marks the third consecutive year the finals are held in Istanbul. ESA returns as the tournament organiser for the third year running and ran an expanded 2026 schedule that included Cash Cups and other competitions designed to create more pathways for players.

The Grand Finals fall on the same weekend as the VCT EMEA Stage 2 Finals in Barcelona. After the Game Changers champion is crowned, the Istanbul arena will host an official VCT EMEA watch party so on-site fans can follow both events. Organisers announced the combined schedule will provide a full day of VALORANT programming and opportunities to meet players and creators.

Attendees can expect pre-finals meet-and-greets with Game Changers players, creator appearances, prize-winning activities and the live Grand Final from the arena.

Game Changers is Riot’s competitive circuit for women and marginalized genders in VALORANT. The Stage 3 Grand Finals bring together the top teams from the season. Some Game Changers players also feature in ENC national squads; organisers pointed to mixed-national line-ups in Switzerland and Denmark.

Tomek, Esports Product Manager for VALORANT at VCT EMEA, called Istanbul “a true home for VALORANT fans across the region” and described the watch party as “a celebration for the entire VALORANT community.”

At last year’s Game Changers finals, European teams did not reach the top four. Tickets for the Istanbul event go on sale Aug. 3, with the Grand Final scheduled for Aug. 30.
