G2 and Wizards of the Coast to Feature Exodus on CS2 Jersey
G2 Esports will debut a rotating Wizards of the Coast Exodus jersey on its Counter-Strike 2 kit at the Esports World Cup opener against M80 on Aug. 12, part of a multi-year deal.
G2 Esports and Wizards of the Coast will debut a rotating jersey partnership at the Esports World Cup 2026. The collaboration begins on Aug. 12, when G2 faces M80, with the first jersey featuring Exodus, a story-driven sci-fi action RPG developed by WotC studio Archetype Entertainment.
Under a multi-year creative agreement, G2 will wear different designs that spotlight titles from Wizards of the Coast’s portfolio at competitive events. Future jerseys are planned to feature properties including Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons.
G2 chief executive Alban Dechelotte commented: “Our fans love games, Wizards of the Coast has been creating games people care about for decades, and this collaboration is a natural way to bring those worlds together.” Mark Cox, senior director of regional marketing at Wizards of the Coast, added: “G2 and Counter-Strike were the obvious fit for Wizards of the Coast. We’re excited to bring Exodus into that world and meet players where they already are.”
The agreement gives Wizards of the Coast ongoing brand exposure on one of esports’ most visible kits. The partnership coincides with a rise in card-based products tied to esports. The Esports World Cup has launched an official trading card collection with digital card platform Kolex. A premium trading card collection produced with South Korean team T1 helped another publisher generate estimated gross revenue above $10 million. Independent organisations have also produced club-themed physical card games.
The Exodus jersey will be visible to viewers and attendees during the Esports World Cup opening matches on Aug. 12. G2 and Wizards of the Coast noted that further jersey designs will be revealed at upcoming events.
