G2 Esports Appoints Pétronille Grein as Head of Product
Pétronille Grein, formerly Tommy Hilfiger EMEA kidswear merchandising lead, will oversee product planning, assortments, pricing and launches for G2 Esports.
G2 Esports has named Pétronille Grein as Head of Product to lead product planning and development for the European organization.
Grein will shape product strategy and work with design, sales and marketing to plan assortments, set pricing and launch collections for G2’s merchandise business.
At Tommy Hilfiger she led kidswear merchandising across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, managing seasonal planning from concept to market and defining line architecture, pricing and margin targets.
Her resume includes senior merchandising roles at Calvin Klein, where she worked on global strategy for women’s swimwear and aligned design and development with market demand, and at Nike, where she managed seasonal buying strategies, product assortments and digital merchandising to support online sales and marketplace presentation.
Grein will report into G2’s commercial leadership and is expected to focus on permanent merchandise lines and limited drops aimed at fans and collectors. Her responsibilities will include assortment planning, pricing and margin management as part of commercial decisions.
G2 has recently expanded its commercial activity, including a skins partnership for its Counter-Strike 2 roster with Skin.Club and a deal with sports betting platform Winamax.
Grein commented, “I’m excited to join G2 as Head of Product and bring my experience, energy, and passion to the table. Transitioning from the world of fashion to the booming esports and gaming space is incredibly exciting, especially at a time when we’re seeing major mainstream brands helping to shape the industry.”
Sabrina Ratih, G2’s chief operating officer, noted that Grein’s background in merchandising and product strategy within fashion will support the organization as it expands its product function.
