FUT ousts MOUZ at IEM Cologne, reaches Swiss decider

FUT eliminated MOUZ in a three‑map match at the third stage of the IEM Cologne Major in Cologne, Germany. FUT won Ancient in 24 rounds, lost Nuke 10–13 and closed the series with a 13–7 win on Mirage. The result sends the Hamburg‑based MOUZ home and advances FUT to the Swiss group decider.

Ancient ran to 24 rounds and featured multiple traded kills, late‑round plants and several high‑pressure situations. Džiugas “dziugss” Steponavičius delivered a high damage output and frequent multi‑kill rounds that helped FUT secure the final round on an A‑site defensive setup.

On Nuke, MOUZ recovered after an early CT resistance by FUT. Dorian “xertioN” Berman produced back‑to‑back multi‑kills and clutch wins while Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás recorded a USP quad‑kill in a late round. MOUZ took six rounds on the T side and finished the map 13–10.

Mirage was the decider. After falling behind 2–4, FUT strung together a six‑round streak on the attack to carry a lead into the second half. MOUZ won the second pistol and Torzsás posted a quick triple on B, but FUT’s defense, led by Aulon “Krabeni” Fazlija and teammates, closed the map 13–7.

Across the series, Džiugas “dziugss” Steponavičius led FUT with 52 kills, a match‑leading average damage per round of 85.7 and a 1.33 rating. Nikita “cmtry” Samolotov and Laurențiu “lauNX” Țârlea provided consistent support across maps. For MOUZ, Torzsás finished with 48 kills and a 1.07 rating, and xertioN produced decisive multi‑kill rounds, particularly on Nuke.
