On Overpass FURIA opened 4-0 on the T side. BetBoom replied with a period of multi-kills from Kirill “Magnojez” Rodnov, but FURIA drew level before the switch after a 1v2 clutch by Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo. After the change of sides FURIA put together an 8-0 run to close the map.

On Dust2 FURIA built a 5-0 lead as CT. BetBoom reduced the deficit in the remainder of the half, but FURIA kept the lead and closed the map to complete the 2-0 match win.

Individual statistics recorded FURIA’s dominance. Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis finished 39-24 with an ADR of 99.8 and a 1.61 rating. Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato posted 36-19, a 96.2 ADR and a 1.50 rating. Danil “molodoy” Golubenko was 31-20 with a 1.24 rating. Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo registered 14-17, an ADR of 40.8, a KAST of 76.3% and a 0.96 rating. For BetBoom, Kirill “Magnojez” Rodnov was 25-30 with a 78.2 ADR and a 0.96 rating; Aleksandr “zorte” Zagodyrenko was 26-26 with a 73.1 ADR and a 0.91 rating. Daniil “d1Ledez” Kustov finished 20-27 (59.7 ADR, 0.88 rating). Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov was 12-27 (42.4 ADR, 0.60 rating) and Timur “FL4MUS” Marev 16-31 (44.4 ADR, 0.60 rating).

FalleN reflected on his history at the venue: “It would be amazing if I could win it again ten years later. I think I would be the first one to win it three times. I had great moments there in 2016. 2017 was also special because my family came all the way from Brazil. It would be a dream come true. I still have some things to chase in CS, like Grand Slams. Whatever comes next, I’ll be happy.”

FURIA will take a last-16 spot in the IEM Cologne Major knockout stage and will face an opponent determined by the remaining qualifiers.
