FURIA beat 9z 2-1 to reach IEM Cologne semifinals

FURIA eliminated 9z in a best-of-three at the IEM Cologne Major in Cologne on June 20, 2026, advancing to the semifinals with a 2-1 series win. The map scores were Dust2 8-13, Mirage 13-9 and Overpass 13-6.

On Dust2, 9z controlled the first half as FURIA managed just three rounds before halftime. Yuri yuurih Santos produced a late 1v3 clutch that narrowed the gap, but Maximiliano max Gonzalez closed the map with a 1v2 to secure the opener for 9z.

Mirage began with another yuurih individual round, a 1v4 to open the map. 9z then built a 6-2 lead, but FURIA answered with several late-round wins and individual clutches, including Danil molodoy Golubenko’s 1v3. FURIA carried momentum into the second half and won Mirage 13-9 to level the series.

On Overpass, FURIA posted a 9-3 CT half despite losing the pistol and the conversion round. The team maintained control after halftime and closed the decider 13-6.

Individual statistics reflected FURIA’s recovery. Yuri yuurih Santos finished with 40 kills, 34 deaths, an 85.6 average damage per round (ADR) and a 1.20 rating. Mareks YEKINDAR Gaļinskis had 42 kills, 44 deaths, a 78.8 ADR and a 1.16 rating. Kaike KSCERATO Cerato recorded 40 kills, 37 deaths, a 70.4 ADR and a 1.09 rating. Danil molodoy Golubenko logged 43 kills and a 0.97 rating, while Gabriel FalleN Toledo finished 30-38 with a 0.79 rating.

For 9z, Luciano luchov Herrera had 39 kills and 45 deaths with a 71.3 ADR and a 1.04 rating. Maximiliano max Gonzalez ended 33-34 with a 54.1 ADR and a 1.02 rating. Matias HUASOPEEK Ibañez Hernandez posted 44-43 and a 79.7 ADR.

FURIA will face Aurora in the IEM Cologne semifinals on June 20 for a place in the final.
