FISSURE Playground 3 relocates to Suzhou for Sept. 8-13
FISSURE moved Playground 3 from Shenzhen to Suzhou. The 16-team, $1.25 million tournament runs Sept. 8-13 at Suzhou’s SND Cultural and Sports Centre.
FISSURE relocated FISSURE Playground 3 from Shenzhen to Suzhou, China. The 16-team tournament with a $1,250,000 prize pool will be held at Suzhou’s SND Cultural and Sports Centre from Sept. 8-13.
Suzhou has about 12 million residents and lies roughly 90 kilometers west of Shanghai in the Yangtze Delta megalopolis.
The event had been announced for Shenzhen and was previously promoted as FISSURE Playground 5 before several planned events were canceled and the schedule was revised. The tournament was rebranded as Playground 3 after that revision.
FISSURE announced a long-term strategic partnership with GGMEDIA, a Shanghai-based live media production company. GGMEDIA recently produced the BLAST Open Porto 2026 Asian qualifiers. The partners plan to co-host Tier 1 tournaments in China on an annual basis to support the local esports ecosystem and to link Chinese events with the global competitive scene.
The SND Cultural and Sports Centre will host matches and related event activities. Organizers have not released the full team list, broadcast schedule or ticketing details; those items are expected in the weeks ahead.
The tournament is scheduled for Sept. 8-13 with a $1,250,000 prize pool and a 16-team field.
