FaZe beat Legacy 13-6, 13-8 to reach Esports World Cup playoffs

FaZe advanced to the Esports World Cup playoffs in Paris after defeating Legacy 13-6 on Cache and 13-8 on Mirage. The series win secured FaZe a place in the tournament’s knockout stage.

On Cache, FaZe established control over tempo and economy and closed the map 13-6. Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken led FaZe’s in-game decision making while contributing key kills through the map, and the team completed rounds with coordinated trades and pace management that limited Legacy’s sustained pressure.

Mirage proved tighter. Legacy opened each half with early momentum, but Twistzz produced multiple multi-frag rounds in the first half and finished the map with a 2.28 rating. FaZe converted a structured offensive sequence to end Mirage 13-8. Jakub “jcobbb” Pietruszewski recorded an ace to finish a half, and Jason “JBOEN” Boe Nielsen provided consistent frags since joining the roster.

Individual numbers across the series showed FaZe advantages in damage and impact. Twistzz posted a 36-18 kill-death line, Jakub “jcobbb” was 28-25, David “frozen” Čerňanský recorded 28-20, and JBOEN had 29-18. For Legacy, Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer led the team with 21 kills and recorded the highest damage average among his side, while other Legacy players posted competitive individual stats despite the losses.

The result follows FaZe’s recent back-to-back top-four finishes at the XSE Pro League and BLAST Bounty Season 2. In series play this season, FaZe have lost only to PARIVISION and Spirit.

Legacy showed resilience in several rounds and secured strong individual performances, but the team was unable to maintain map control and convert early advantages into either map win.
