Faceit adds Cache, removes Overpass in CS2 on July 6

Cache enters Faceit’s CS2 matchmaking and Premier on July 6, replacing Overpass as Premier Season 5 launches the same day.
Faceit will add the updated Cache to its Counter-Strike 2 matchmaking on July 6, 2026, removing Overpass from the queue. The same update applies to Faceit Premier, which begins Season 5 that day.
Faceit set July 6 for the change, adding Cache to public matchmaking and rotating out Overpass. Premier Season 5 will open with Cache in the pool and Overpass removed.
Valve returned the reworked Cache to CS2 in April 2026. Until now the map has been available in the game’s Competitive playlist; Faceit’s update brings it to the platform’s matchmaking and Premier mode.
When the update goes live, Overpass will exit both Faceit matchmaking and Premier queues. Players queuing on Faceit will be able to select Cache in standard matches and in Premier when Season 5 starts.
Faceit operates an independent matchmaking system for CS2 and runs Premier as a seasonal, rating-based mode. The July 6 update establishes the starting map pool for Premier Season 5.
