EYEBALLERS have benched Sebastian “dex” Samuelsson after failing to qualify for the Singapore Major, ending his 26-month partnership with the Swedish organization. The team will use stand-ins in upcoming matches while searching for a permanent replacement.

Anton “dottie” Alevärn will be EYEBALLERS’ first stand-in. The organization has not announced how long he will remain in the lineup or when it expects to complete its search.

EYEBALLERS recorded a 38.9% win rate over the past three months and have fallen to 64th place in the Valve Regional Standings. The team’s decline in form came before the Singapore Major qualification cutoff.

“It is absolutely not a fun decision and is no reflection of his individual performance, but we felt that something needed to happen for us to be able to take the next step in our journey,” EYEBALLERS CEO Axel Fridén wrote in a statement.

Dex joined EYEBALLERS in October 2024 and played 546 maps for the team. His benching leaves Jesper “JW” Wecksell, Kalle “Ro1f” Johansson, Max “maxster” Jansson and Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson in the active lineup. Faruk “pita” Pita remains the team’s coach.
