EWC 2026 Counter-Strike peaks above 1 million viewers

The Counter-Strike tournament at the Esports World Cup 2026 reached a peak audience of more than 1 million viewers during the Grand Final between Team Spirit and FUT Esports. Team Spirit won the final, FUT Esports finished second and Legacy placed third. The event was the fourth tournament at EWC 2026 to pass the one million peak-viewer mark.

Organizers reported that total hours watched nearly doubled compared with the 2025 edition. They attributed much of the increase in watch time to a format change: EWC 2025 used a compact single-elimination bracket, while the 2026 competition added a group stage and expanded the field. The expanded schedule produced substantially more matches and more than twice the broadcast airtime of the previous year.

The larger volume of content affected average concurrent viewership, but broadcasts held an average audience above 300,000 viewers. Organizers provided the average and peak figures as part of their audience summary for the tournament.

On the competitive side, Team Spirit claimed the title in the Grand Final, FUT Esports reached the final after an extended run through the bracket, and Legacy secured third place after the placement matches.
