Esports Week 25: ScrunK exits; K27 withdraws; Lisbon to host

Robin “ScrunK” Röpke will not renew his contract with BC.Game after five months with the organization. The German analyst served as a stand-in at IEM Atlanta and at the CS Asia Championships in May and announced he will not extend his deal ahead of the next season.

Polish organization K27 withdrew from Digital Crusade Super DraculaN Season 1 after visa delays prevented travel. On June 23 the team forfeited matches, recording losses to Walczaki and INFINITE and additional forfeits that resulted in a 31 VRS-point penalty. K27 wrote on Telegram that if passports are returned in time the squad will try to fly out to compete in the lower bracket, adding: “If we do get our passports back tomorrow, we’ll still have to fly out to compete in the lower bracket. Keep your fingers crossed for us.”

Lisbon will host multiple events this year. The SAW Esports Arena will stage LEON.bet Masters Season 1 from September 24-27 with a €30,000 prize pool. Registrations open July 15 and teams must pay a €1,500 entry fee plus VAT. Separately, the HyperX RETAKE 2026 circuit, presented by Hyped and PEW PEW, will hold two open LANs at the TP Esports Arena: Season 12 runs July 23-26 and Season 13 runs October 29-November 1. The RETAKE circuit offers up to €15,000 in combined prize money and teams can sign up via the event pages once registrations open.

Additional updates this week include a publication from FISSURE noting outstanding prize money obligations to several teams. Brazilian organization MIBR confirmed a partnership with LOS for the EWC event in France and will wear special edition kits at that tournament. A fragmovie compiling standout plays from the IEM Cologne Major was released, covering Stage 1 through the grand final.

On the player market, Wiktor “mynio” Kruk, 30, is currently without a team. He holds a Rating 1.0 of 0.89 across 1,299 maps, with a KPR of 0.62 and a DPR of 0.71. Jake “Stewie2K” Yip, 28, is also unattached with a Rating 1.0 of 1.00 across 1,567 maps, a KPR of 0.69 and a DPR of 0.69. Both players’ statistics are provided for reference ahead of a busy late-summer and autumn event calendar.
