Esports Awards 2026 to stage flagship ceremony in Miami

The Esports Awards will hold its 2026 flagship ceremony in Miami, Florida, in November, marking the awards’ first appearance in the city. Organisers said the event will be presented in partnership with the Esports World Cup and Oakley, with logistical support from the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The first wave of finalists covers business-to-business and institutional categories that recognise commercial partners, tournament operators, supporting services and content groups. Public voting on this initial set of nominees is open through November 10. Organisers will run a “Turbo Week” from November 3 to 10 during which fan votes count double toward final results.

Nominees for Esports Commercial Partner of the Year include Chipotle, Coinbase, Intel, Logitech G, Razer and Red Bull. Finalists in the tournament organiser category range from Activision Blizzard and the ESL FACEIT Group to EVO and Riot Games. Supporting service nominees list companies such as FACEIT, Liquipedia and Esports Charts alongside specialist agencies and analytics firms. The Esports Content Group entries include teams and media operators such as 100 Thieves, G2 Esports, T1 and Team Vitality.

Ahead of the host city announcement, MEGA Advanced Ltd., the parent company and operator of the Esports Awards, reached an agreement with GameSquare Holdings to manage commercial sales for the awards. Under that agreement, GameSquare will lead sponsorship procurement and brand partnerships across the awards properties.

The Esports Awards is also working with The Esports Radar to produce a companion executive event called Esports Leaders. That gathering is scheduled for Friday, August 21, 2026, at the Hôtel du Collectionneur in central Paris and will bring senior executives together for panels, networking and business discussions during the closing days of the Esports World Cup.

Michael Ashford, chief executive of the Esports Awards, said the organisation remains focused on recognising achievement across gaming and esports and is excited to bring the flagship ceremony to Miami. David Whitaker, president and CEO of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, said the destination looks forward to welcoming competitors, creators and industry leaders from around the world.

Organisers said winners will be announced during the live broadcast in Miami and that further nomination rounds and event details will be released as the programme for November is finalised.
