ESIC suspends Clown Crew/BarrancoBar over Dota 2 probe - news.white.market

ESIC provisionally suspended Dota 2 team Clown Crew/BarrancoBar and staff while investigating unusual in-game activity in multiple Get Good League Season 2 matches.

The Esports Integrity Commission provisionally suspended South American Dota 2 team Clown Crew/BarrancoBar and all affiliated staff effective immediately while it investigates suspicious activity in several Get Good League Season 2 matches.

The commission opened a review after detecting unusual in-game behaviour in matches that included erratic camera movements, unexpected player-perspective activity, suspicious de-warding and map awareness, and reactions to enemy movements that appeared to occur without normal in-game vision. ESIC is also examining whether participants accessed radar tools, second-screen information, unauthorised external data or other prohibited assistance.

Matches flagged for review carry Game IDs 8790064789, 8774123157 and 8774206273. The inquiry specifically includes gameplay by Cristian “Accel” Cruz and whether any team members knew of, assisted with, or benefited from the suspected conduct.

The provisional suspension bars all registered players, substitutes, coaches, analysts, managers and team staff from participating in events covered by the ESIC Integrity Programme. The commission described the action as an interim protective measure and noted that time spent under suspension may be applied to any future sanctions if penalties are imposed.

ESIC listed the potential breaches under investigation as cheating or attempted cheating, use of unauthorised external tools or information, radar or second-screen assistance, match manipulation or attempted manipulation, betting-related misconduct, failure to report suspicious conduct and behaviour likely to damage competitive integrity.

The suspension follows recent enforcement activity by the commission. In April 2026 ESIC issued lifetime bans to Dota 2 player Alexandr “Sensibility” Filatov for corruption-related offences and to Counter-Strike 2 player Maurizio “MAUschine” Weber after an on-stage incident.

The inquiry into Clown Crew/BarrancoBar remains active. ESIC will publish any further findings or disciplinary actions after the investigation concludes.
