EliGE: Team Liquid failed to fully commit to strategies

EliGE argued Team Liquid never fully committed to a single strategy, saying partial shifts and weak follow-through hindered the team’s ability to build a consistent tactical identity.

Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski, a long-serving Team Liquid rifler, criticized the organization’s approach to strategic changes in a recent interview. He said the team made partial adjustments that were not pursued to completion.

Jablonowski described repeated patterns of tentative shifts in tactics, practice focus and role definitions. He argued those starts and stops prevented staff and players from establishing a steady system or identity.

The player pointed to hesitation around new approaches as a key operational issue. He explained that plans were introduced but often lacked the follow-through needed to take effect, and that the team struggled to make any single direction stick.

Team Liquid has made multiple roster and coaching changes over recent seasons while competing at international Counter-Strike events. The organization has sought improvements after periods of both strong finishes and less consistent results.

EliGE is one of the roster’s longest-tenured members and has served as a regular on-stage leader. His comments focused on internal handling of tactics and preparation rather than specific match results.

“Whatever direction that we went, we weren’t fully going into it,” EliGE said.

The organization has adjusted personnel and staff as it pursues more consistent outcomes. Team Liquid continues to compete in top-level international CS:GO events and to iterate on its lineup and coaching structure.
