EA Sports FC 27 sells 7.9M copies, earns $714.1M in three weeks

EA Sports FC 27 sold 7.9 million copies and generated $714.1 million on PlayStation, Xbox and Steam in under three weeks. PlayStation accounted for 77.1% of sales; in-game purchases added $86.4 million.

Alinea Analytics estimates EA Sports FC 27 sold 7.9 million copies and generated $714.1 million in revenue across PlayStation, Xbox and Steam in fewer than three weeks after release.

PlayStation platforms provided 77.1% of sales, with PlayStation 5 delivering the largest share of PlayStation revenue. Xbox accounted for 15.9% of sales and Steam made up 7%. Consoles represented 93% of all copies sold.

In-game purchases and microtransactions contributed $86.4 million, equal to 12.1% of total revenue. The figures cover digital and physical sales and include transactions across all supported platforms in the initial post-release window.

Alinea ranked EA Sports FC 27 as the highest-grossing new game release of 2026 so far. Resident Evil Requiem and Forza Horizon 6 earned about $558 million and $534 million respectively during comparable periods after their launches.

EA Sports FC 27 earned 14% more in the same length of time than EA Sports FC 26. PlayStation 5 revenue rose from $323.6 million for FC 26 to $506.7 million for FC 27, while PlayStation 4 revenue fell from $146.1 million to $67.2 million.

Alinea attributed part of the PlayStation 5 increase to players moving to newer consoles ahead of Grand Theft Auto 6’s November release. The analysis described Xbox One results as weaker and characterized Steam as a secondary platform for EA Sports FC and other sports titles.
