Chzzk to livestream all Esports World Cup 2026 events in Korean
Naver’s Chzzk will livestream all 25 Esports World Cup 2026 events in Korean under a three-year deal through 2027.
Naver Corporation’s streaming platform Chzzk will exclusively livestream every event of the Esports World Cup 2026 in Korean under an expanded three-year agreement with the Esports Foundation that runs through 2027.
Chzzk will provide Korean-language commentary for nine titles popular with Korean viewers, including League of Legends, VALORANT, PUBG: Battlegrounds and Overwatch. The remaining game titles will feature Korean commentary during their finals. English-language event feeds will include real-time AI-generated Korean subtitles to broaden accessibility for Korean audiences.
Naver says the AI subtitle system has been trained to recognise esports terminology and match context so translations read more naturally and are produced with low latency during live play.
Beyond match broadcasts, Chzzk will produce original on-site content in Paris. Streamers will travel to the tournament to cover the venue atmosphere, player reactions and fan activity alongside the live event feeds.
The Esports World Cup runs from July 6 to August 23, 2026, in Paris. The tournament includes 25 game titles and offers a total prize pool of more than $75 million. Last year Chzzk streamed 15 tournament titles; the new agreement expands that coverage to all events.
The expanded rights follow recent Naver esports agreements. Naver signed a memorandum of understanding with KRAFTON to support PUBG: Battlegrounds esports on Chzzk and entered a five-year partnership with Riot Games for the League of Legends Champions Korea, with Naver and SOOP handling domestic streaming.
Shin Seul-gi, leader of Naver Game Content Partnership, commented (translation from Korean): “As the EWC is an esports festival where globally popular titles and diverse fandoms come together, Chzzk plans to provide a viewing environment that combines broadcasting of all titles with AI-based convenience features and co-watching content, allowing fans to enjoy familiar titles more deeply and new ones more easily.”
The agreement guarantees Korean-language access to the full Esports World Cup schedule on a single platform and pairs international English feeds with AI-generated Korean subtitles and locally produced programming aimed at Korean viewers.
