BLAST Rivals Season 2 lineup set for $1 million Hong Kong event

BLAST has announced the eight-team field for Rivals Season 2, a $1 million Counter-Strike tournament scheduled for Nov. 11-15 in Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong.

The lineup includes all five teams currently at the top of the rankings. Spirit, Vitality, MOUZ and Legacy have each won a Rivals event during the current season. FURIA is also included in the field.

The teams will be divided into two groups of four. Each group will use a double-elimination format, with the leading teams advancing to a single-elimination playoff bracket.

The final will be played as a best-of-five series. The tournament has a total prize pool of $1 million.

FURIA will enter the event during a busy schedule for its Brazilian-majority roster. The team has previously discussed the challenges created by the number of tournaments on its calendar.
