Betclic signed 22-year-old AWPer Roland ‘ultimate’ Tomkowiak from Liquid to fill its vacant AWP slot.
Betclic has signed 22-year-old AWPer Roland ‘ultimate’ Tomkowiak from Liquid to fill the club’s vacant AWP slot. Tomkowiak joined Liquid in July 2024 after leaving Illuminar.
At Liquid, Tomkowiak arrived with an aggressive AWPing style. His performance declined over time and Liquid replaced him with Georgi ‘Jorko’ Mitev this summer.
The AWPer opening at Betclic followed the departure of Olek ‘hades’ Miskiewicz. Betclic renewed contracts for Wojciech ‘Prism’ Zięba and Patryk ‘Demho’ Tomaszewski in July as part of roster changes.
Tomkowiak already appeared alongside Betclic’s four-man core when he represented Poland and helped the team qualify for the Esports Nations Cup this summer.
Betclic defeated Liquid and Mitev in the grand final of the $60,000 Stake Pulse Beat I LAN. The result occurred during a period of roster turbulence for the Polish organisation.
Betclic’s active lineup now consists of Roland ‘ultimate’ Tomkowiak, Patryk ‘Demho’ Tomaszewski, Wojciech ‘Prism’ Zięba, Mateusz ‘ex1st’ Witman and Konrad ‘Qlocuu’ Klocek, with Grzegorz ‘SZPERO’ Dziamałek as coach.
On the VRS leaderboard, Tomkowiak is ranked 46th. His transfer returns him to a Polish organisation that has been rebuilding its squad and competing on the LAN circuit.
