BetBoom rout GamerLegion, reach IEM Cologne Stage 2

BetBoom beat GamerLegion 2-0 at IEM Cologne, winning Nuke 13-2 and Ancient 13-8. Kirill ‘Boombl4’ Mikhailov produced an 11-round T-side run on Nuke.

BetBoom advanced to Stage 2 of the IEM Cologne Major after a 2-0 win over GamerLegion in the event’s 2-0 pool, taking Nuke 13-2 and Ancient 13-8.

On Nuke BetBoom opened with an 11-round run on the T side. Kirill ‘Boombl4’ Mikhailov led the map with a 1.80 rating, a +12.67% Round Swing, 98.8 ADR and a 9-9 K-D on that map. Timur ‘FL4MUS’ Marev ended Nuke with a 17-10 line.

On Ancient GamerLegion won the pistol and built a 5-0 lead, but BetBoom recovered through repeated multi-kill rounds and control of Cave. Kirill ‘Magnojez’ Rodnov produced several key plays from Cave while Boombl4 and FL4MUS supplied high-impact rounds. GamerLegion won two early gun rounds in the second half but then gave up a 4v3 that handed BetBoom match point; BetBoom closed Ancient 13-8.

Series statistics show BetBoom’s balanced output. FL4MUS finished 35-21 with a 1.55 rating and 87.1 ADR. Boombl4 was 24-21 with a 1.42 rating. Magnojez ended 28-19 with a 1.24 rating. Daniil ‘d1Ledez’ Kustov was 22-20 with a 1.22 rating and Aleksandr ‘zorte’ Zagodyrenko was 21-16 with a 1.15 rating.

For GamerLegion, Milan ‘hypex’ Polowiechypex led the team at 28-25 with a 1.08 rating and 74.2 ADR. Oldřich ‘PR’ Nový finished 24-26 with a 0.89 rating and 88.8 ADR. Fredrik ‘REZ’ Sterner was 16-26 with a 0.72 rating, Janusz ‘Snax’ Pogorzelski 13-26 with a 0.58 rating, and Sebastian ‘Tauson’ Lindelof 14-28 with a 0.54 rating.

With the victory BetBoom move on to Stage 2. GamerLegion are eliminated from advancing to Stage 2.
