BetBoom keeps Cologne roster open until visas clear
BetBoom CEO Artem ‘Pioneer’ Saveliev says the IEM Cologne roster will remain undecided until all players secure visas. The club registered d1Ledez and VP loanee FL4MUS; AWPer zorte stays on the season roster.
BetBoom will not finalise its lineup for the IEM Cologne Major in Germany until all players receive travel visas, CEO Artem ‘Pioneer’ Saveliev confirmed. The organisation applied for visas immediately after the Major ranking cutoff and expects approvals soon, but has not named the final travelling roster.
The club registered both Daniil ‘d1Ledez’ Kustov and VP loanee Timur ‘FL4MUS’ Marev for Cologne. Aleksandr ‘zorte’ Zagodyrenko, an AWPer who replaced Artem ‘ArtFr0st’ Kharitonov for the season, remains on BetBoom’s roster regardless of the event selection.
FL4MUS will play for BetBoom at IEM Atlanta in the United States because he already holds a valid US visa. D1Ledez is awaiting a decision on his German visa; that outcome will determine whether he travels to Cologne.
Saveliev stated, “The question of who will play at the Cologne Major will remain open until all players receive their visas.” He added that the club expects the documents “very soon” and declined to make predictions. Saveliev also noted, “For any CIS team, visas are always a major challenge.”
On the Atlanta selection, Saveliev explained, “FL4MUS was the best fit for us. We’ve already played three tournaments together, so there’s a certain level of synergy. The coaching staff also has a clear understanding of how and where we can best utilize his strengths.”
