BetBoom Stages Comeback to Beat Falcons 2-0 in Cologne

BetBoom defeated Falcons in Cologne, taking Nuke 13-11 and Ancient 13-10 to move to the 2-0 pool in Stage 3 of the Major. Falcons dropped to the 1-1 pool after losing both maps.

The series opened on Nuke, where Falcons built an 11-3 lead after a strong CT half and a T-side pistol. BetBoom mounted a comeback once rifles were in play, winning ten of the final twelve rounds to close the map 13-11. Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov’s 1v2 attempt late on Nuke was the closest Falcons got to stopping the run.

On Ancient, BetBoom won nine CT rounds and limited Falcons to isolated responses on offense. The map ended 13-10 after m0NESY overpeeked during an A execute, allowing BetBoom to trade and secure the final rounds.

Individual statistics illustrate the series. Kirill “Magnojez” Rodnov led BetBoom with 47 kills, a match-high ADR of 108.6 and a 1.80 rating. Daniil “d1Ledez” Kustov recorded 43 kills, a 93.3 ADR and a 1.26 rating. Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov, the team’s in-game leader, finished with 22 kills, 33 deaths and a 0.79 rating.

For Falcons, René “TeSeS” Madsen posted 37 kills, a 68.8 ADR and a 1.18 rating. Ilya “m0NESY” had 36 kills, a 77.2 ADR and a 1.08 rating. Nikola “NiKo” Kovač and Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin finished with ratings below 1.00. Finn “karrigan” Andersen, the team’s captain, recorded 18 kills, 36 deaths and a 0.68 rating.

BetBoom began their Major campaign in Stage 1 and are one win away from advancing to the playoffs. Falcons surrendered an 11-3 lead on Nuke and were unable to string multiple offensive rounds on Ancient, leaving them at 1-1 in the Stage 3 pool.
