BenjyFishy and BillieIDK feature at VCT Masters London

VCT Masters London opened at the Copper Box Arena with visible UK participation. Ben “BenjyFishy” Fish is scheduled to play for Team Heretics against Team Vitality at 6pm, while Billie “BillieIDK” Purdie appears on the event broadcast alongside rapper Che Lingo and visual artist SUNFWER.

Teams advanced through the Swiss Stage to set the playoff bracket and spectators are attending the knockout rounds at the Copper Box. Team Heretics entered the event as the EU region’s top seed and qualified for the playoffs through the Swiss format.

BenjyFishy discussed the game’s volatility and the impact of individual rounds, saying, “Any team can beat anyone. It’s not like some other games where it’s really hard for a team to win if they get behind early.” He added that a single clutch eco round can change momentum across several rounds and offered advice to younger players: “I hope I’m able to inspire young players that want to be professional. I would tell them to work hard but stay in school.”

BillieIDK spoke about her path into esports and how she now views her role in the broadcast. She said she did not see esports as a career option until 2021 and compared her work to football punditry. On the in-venue atmosphere she described the crowd as “vibrant, high energy, and unspoken connection,” and pushed back against the idea that gaming is only a solitary activity, noting she has made many friends through Valorant from around the world.

Creative contributors are present across the event. Che Lingo wrote a track for the Masters and noted he has been producing music for esports since 2018. SUNFWER’s visual work appears around the venue and online; the artist has more than one million followers across Instagram and TikTok, contributing to the event’s cultural reach.

The Copper Box has hosted major esports events in recent years, including a League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational in 2023 and earlier competitive tournaments. Organisers set up a live audience, broadcast desks and fan activations for the Masters weekend.

The VCT Masters schedule continues through the weekend on streaming services. The Heretics vs Vitality match at 6pm is one of several European fixtures in the playoff stage and will be available to watch on common live-stream platforms.
