Aurora 2-0 PARIVISION at PGL Astana; soulfly, Wicadia shine

Aurora beat PARIVISION 2-0 at PGL Astana, winning Anubis 13-7 and Dust2 16-14. Clutch plays by Caner “soulfly” Kesici and Ali “Wicadia” Yalçın put Aurora one match from the playoffs.

Aurora defeated PARIVISION 2-0 at PGL Astana, winning Anubis 13-7 and Dust2 16-14. The victory leaves Aurora one match away from clinching a spot in the event playoffs.

On Anubis Aurora led on the CT side and won several rounds while a player down. Ali “Wicadia” Haydar Yalçın pulled a 1v4 clutch using the Dualies. Aurora also converted a T-side pistol round and held a 13-7 final score. PARIVISION picked up a few late rounds, including plays built around 2v4 situations from Vladislav “xiELO” Lysov and Andrey “BELCHONOKK” Yasinskiy, but could not close the gap.

Dust2 was a back-and-forth map. PARIVISION opened on the T side and reached 11 rounds before Aurora responded. Caner “soulfly” Kesici produced a 1v3 clutch and a three-kill sequence at Long that shifted rounds in Aurora’s favor. Aurora and Wicadia combined to secure the 16-14 finish.

Top match statistics: Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş led Aurora with 47 kills and a 1.47 rating. Caner “soulfly” Kesici finished 40-31 with a 1.35 rating and Ali “Wicadia” Haydar Yalçın was 34-27 with a 1.19 rating. Özgür “woxic” Eker posted 35-28 (1.10) and Engin “MAJ3R” Küpeli was 23-34 (0.75). For PARIVISION, Dzhami “Jame” Ali went 32-33 (0.97), Ivan “zweih” Gogin 29-38 (0.93), Emil “nota” Moskvitin 31-37 (0.93), Andrey “BELCHONOKK” Yasinskiy 32-36 (0.84) and Vladislav “xiELO” Lysov 28-36 (0.83).

The result keeps Aurora in contention for the knockout stages at PGL Astana. PARIVISION will need wins in upcoming matches to remain in the tournament.
