Audrey Cech has joined the Esports Foundation as Director of Competitive Integrity & Governance. In the role she will oversee rules, disciplinary processes and integrity for the Esports World Cup and the Esports Nations Cup.

Cech will support tournament operations, handle match disputes under official rules and work to ensure competitions are fair, transparent and consistently managed across events.

Announcing the appointment on LinkedIn, she wrote that the role is ‘an opportunity to strengthen global trust and the future of esports’ and noted that governance and integrity work ‘usually happens behind the scenes’ while fans remember on-stage competition.

Cech spent more than four years at Riot Games, most recently as Global Head of Rules & Compliance for esports, where she managed regulatory, disciplinary, integrity and governance matters across League of Legends, VALORANT and Teamfight Tactics.

From 2020 to 2022 she served as Legal Counsel at UEFA, providing legal and administrative support to UEFA justice bodies and managing disciplinary cases. She also worked in several legal and compliance roles at FIFA over five years, including positions in litigation at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the Medical & Anti-Doping department and the Disciplinary department. Her duties at FIFA included anti-doping matters, disciplinary investigations, arbitration cases and compliance audits linked to FIFA and WADA programs.

The Esports Foundation, formerly the Esports World Cup Foundation, has recently expanded its leadership team. Isabella Hislop joined as Director of Commercial Planning and Brian Krämer was named Director of Product to lead the Esports Nations Cup.
