Astralis one loss from elimination after 13-6 Nuke defeat

Astralis are one loss from elimination at the IEM Cologne Major after a 13-6 defeat to TYLOO on Nuke in a Stage 2, 1-1 pool match.

TYLOO led 7-5 at halftime. Astralis struggled to find a consistent rhythm on their CT side. Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen produced a Five-SeveN play and Gytis “ryu” Glušauskas hit a late clutch, but those moments did not alter the half score.

Astralis won the second-half pistol round, but TYLOO immediately responded and retained control through the closing rounds. Yi “JamYoung” Yang ended the match with a four-kill final round.

TYLOO individual lines included Su “Zero” Jingshen at 18-10 with a 98.4 ADR and a 1.43 Rating 3.0, Yi “JamYoung” Yang 16-10 with an 87.2 ADR and 1.42 rating, and Jingxiang “Mercury” Wang 14-9 with a 77.0 ADR and 1.35 rating. Qianhao “Moseyuh” Chen and Dongkai “Jee” Ji finished with 10-13 and 12-9 scorelines respectively.

On Astralis, Gytis “ryu” Glušauskas finished 17-13 with a 77.2 ADR and 1.31 rating, Victor “Staehr” Staehr 12-13 with an 82.6 ADR and 1.03 rating, Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen 8-16 with a 61.1 ADR, Love “phzy” Smidebrant 8-13 with a 55.1 ADR, and Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard 6-15 with a 43.8 ADR.

Astralis lost 13-5 to 9z on Nuke on Saturday, marking a second heavy defeat on the map in Stage 2. With the loss to TYLOO they face elimination from the Cologne Major if they drop another pool match. Four TYLOO players posted positive ratings and strong KAST figures that limited Astralis’s opportunities after side switches.
