arT returns to Legacy lineup after meningitis treatment
Legacy’s Andrei “arT” Piovezan has left the hospital after treatment for meningitis and will return to the team for the Thunderpick World Championship.
Legacy’s Andrei “arT” Piovezan has been discharged from hospital after treatment for meningitis and will return to the team’s lineup at the Thunderpick World Championship.
The Brazilian in-game leader missed Legacy’s ESL Pro League campaign after the illness was announced days before the event. Pedro “bobz” Rocha replaced him as a stand-in, and Legacy exited in the group stage after losing to M80.
“After responding well to treatment, arT has been discharged from the hospital and is already at home,” Legacy wrote in a post on X. The organization thanked supporters who sent messages and expressed concern about his recovery.
The Thunderpick World Championship is scheduled to begin on October 14. Legacy will compete alongside Falcons, FURIA and Aurora, which are also ranked among the top 10 teams in the VRS global standings.
Before his absence, arT helped Legacy rise to second in the VRS rankings. The team finished third at the Esports World Cup and won FISSURE Playground 3.
