All 14 top teams accept PGL Bucharest 2027 invitations
All 14 teams at the top of October’s invitational ranking have accepted invitations to PGL Bucharest 2027, which will run Jan. 17-24 with a $1 million prize pool.
PGL Bucharest 2027 will feature the 14 highest-ranked teams from October’s invitational ranking. The event will take place from Jan. 17 to 24 at PGL’s studio in Bucharest, with $1 million in prize money and $400,000 in VRS bonuses.
The tournament will have 16 teams. The final two places will go to teams from an eight-team closed qualifier scheduled for Oct. 16-20.
PGL Bucharest will overlap with BLAST Bounty, which is scheduled to run in Malta from Jan. 11 to 24. The second week of BLAST Bounty will take place at the same time as PGL Bucharest.
BLAST has not announced its invitation list for the Malta tournament. Its invites will be based on November’s invitational ranking, while PGL Bucharest used October’s ranking.
In March, BLAST announced plans to remove the online stage from BLAST Bounty in 2027 and reduce the field from 32 teams to 16.
