Shahar “flameZ” Shushan is an Israeli professional CS2 player for Team Vitality. Born on June 22, 2003, he built his reputation around fast rifling, fearless entries, and the confidence to take difficult fights in high-pressure rounds.

flameZ CS2 path to the top was not instant. He started playing Counter-Strike around the age of 10, first spending time on bunnyhop servers in CS 1.6 before moving into CS in 2014. His older brother, Shiran “shushan” Shushan, also played Counter-Strike professionally, which gave flameZ an early connection to the competitive scene.

His start was not easy. Because of the age, he could not play every tournament or use every opportunity available to older players. He also had to play with weaker equipment, including a low-end PC, so much of his development came through online grinding, FPL-C, and proving himself against stronger opponents whenever he had the chance.

That background shaped his style. flameZ became known as a confident, aggressive rifler who is not afraid to take first contact or play under pressure. By his early twenties, he had already gone from a smaller regional scene to a championship-level role with Team Vitality.

flameZ Career Journey

flameZ CS2 career started in Israel, where young players had to rely on local teams, online practice, and third-party platforms to get noticed. Before reaching international rosters, he had to grind through limited opportunities and build his reputation the hard way.

At Endpoint, flameZ turned from a regional prospect into a player watched by larger organizations. His seven-month spell there showed that his aim, confidence, and tempo could work outside the Israeli scene.

OG became the next key step. flameZ joined the team in April 2021 at just 17 years old and had to adjust to stronger opponents, bigger events, and more structured Counter-Strike. During this period, he gained Major experience with OG and became a more complete rifler, even though the team itself often struggled to turn potential into trophies.

The defining move came in June 2023, when Team Vitality added flameZ to replace dupreeh. The transfer placed him alongside players such as ZywOo and apEX, giving him a championship-level system and a real chance to compete for the biggest titles in CS2.

At Vitality, flameZ brought youth, speed, and direct aggression to an already elite lineup. His role was not to replace star power one-to-one, but to give Vitality more pace, more pressure, and more options in aggressive rounds.

Tournament Victories and Achievements

flameZ’s biggest achievements came after joining Team Vitality. His earlier teams helped him gain experience, but Vitality gave him the platform to win major titles. HLTV ranked him No. 7 in the world in both 2024 and 2025, showing that his rise was not just a short peak but a sustained run at the top level.

His 2025 season was the biggest statement of his career. With Vitality, flameZ won both the BLAST.tv Austin Major and the StarLadder Budapest Major, making him a two-time Major champion. 

The 2026 season continued that momentum. Vitality added more titles early in the year, including IEM Kraków, PGL Cluj-Napoca, BLAST Open Rotterdam, IEM Rio, and BLAST Rivals Season 1. This extended flameZ CS2 stats and trophy record beyond one dominant season and kept him among the most successful riflers of the current CS2 era.
