Cache, which recently returned to the active pool, received the most attention. The studio closed holes and problematic spots that affected sightlines and visibility. Surface types for several materials were corrected to align audio and physics, changing how footsteps sound and how grenades bounce. Metal grates were added to selected windows to block bullets through angles that had become easy shots. Visibility and rendering of player models and grenades were adjusted to reduce inconsistent silhouettes under certain lighting and geometry.

The patch removes a grenade bug that allowed players to cancel a throw late in the animation, which created irregular utility timing during matches.

The update includes engine stability improvements intended to reduce crashes and performance hitches.

For creators, the patch fixes an issue where used resources could not be selected when opening the model browser. It also addresses layered materials that shared identical surface properties across layers, which had produced unexpected results during map work.

The music system adds a new parameter, roundmvpanthem_02, for all NIGHTMODE 2 music kits. An alternate MVP anthem now has a chance to play about one in five MVP events.

Players had reported Cache visibility issues and angle exploits after the map’s return, and the grenade timing bug had appeared in recent competitive and ranked matches.

Valve did not provide platform rollout specifics. The patch is available globally through Steam, and the notes cite competitive consistency and toolchain stability as priorities.
