Riot narrows Riftbound catch-up eligibility, adds cart removal
Riot limited Riftbound Catch-Up eligibility to Spiritforged and Unleashed booster-display entries and will let selected winners remove items from their Riot Merch Store cart.
Riot Games revised eligibility for its Riftbound Catch-Up drawing and added a new option that lets selected winners remove single items from a pre-filled Riot Merch Store cart before checkout. The second Unleashed merch store drawing runs May 18 at 9 a.m. PT through May 20 at 9 a.m. PT. Selection emails are expected to go out beginning May 26, with fulfillment scheduled for early to mid-June.
Under the updated rules, eligibility for the Catch-Up allocation will be based only on whether a player entered the Spiritforged Booster Display and the Unleashed Booster Display drawings and was not selected for them. The prior eligibility standard had included entries for Spiritforged, the Lunar Revel Bundle, and the first Unleashed drawing. As a result, players who purchased other Riftbound products such as Champion Decks, the Vi Champion Deck, Vaults, or the Lunar Revel Bundle may still qualify for Catch-Up if they entered the specified booster-display drawings and were not chosen.
Players selected in the drawing receive a unique, non-transferable purchase link to a pre-filled Riot Merch Store cart. The purchase must be completed within 24 hours of the selection email; if the link expires, the items return to the available product pool and may be offered to other participants.
The drawing now allows winners chosen for multiple products to remove individual items from their cart before completing payment. Removed items return immediately to the product pool and cannot be restored by Player Support. Riot emphasized that the removal action is final.
The May drawing will include Origins, Spiritforged, and Unleashed Booster Displays and Proving Grounds box sets. The registration process remains free, limited to one entry per Riot ID, and the use of multiple accounts, scripts, or bots is prohibited and may lead to account action. Riot said the drawing includes new security features intended to reduce bot activity and other abusive behavior.
Riot has been adjusting supply of early Riftbound sets. Reprints of Origins and Proving Grounds began rolling out in April. Additional Origins boosters are expected after Unleashed’s wider English release, with a larger shipment scheduled later in May. Riot plans to continue printing early sets until supply levels improve.
Unleashed, the third major Riftbound set, saw its English release on May 8. The set introduces the game’s first Ultimate Rare, a Baron Nashor card that appears in fewer than 0.1% of packs. Related Summoner Skirmish windows are scheduled to begin May 25 and June 22.
Players who plan to enter should ensure their Riot ID is in good standing and that they register only once per account. Being selected grants an opportunity to purchase the pre-filled items; completing the purchase within the 24-hour window is required to secure the products and any removed items are immediately returned to the pool.
