Team Falcons appoints Aws Bani Baker as MENA director
Team Falcons has appointed Aws Bani Baker as its esports director for the Middle East and North Africa after more than four years with the organisation.
Saudi Arabia-based esports organisation Team Falcons has appointed Aws Bani Baker as its esports director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. He will oversee the organisation’s regional esports operations.
Bani Baker has been with Team Falcons for more than four years. He most recently served as the organisation’s MENA Esports General Manager from June 2022 to May 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Team Falcons has not disclosed his specific responsibilities in the new role. A regional esports director typically oversees competitive teams and operations, including game and league participation, roster and travel budgets, coordination with coaches and team managers, and relationships with tournament organisers, sponsors and game publishers.
Before joining Team Falcons, Bani Baker worked at NASR Esports in Dubai for more than two years. He served as Head of FPS Games from January 2021 to June 2022 and as the organisation’s Head Coach for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive from April 2020 to June 2022.
Earlier in his career, Bani Baker worked part time as a lecturer at Jordan University of Science and Technology from March to June 2020.
The appointment follows changes to Team Falcons’ global esports leadership. Grant Rousseau, the organisation’s former Global Director of Esports and Operations, announced in June 2025 that he would leave after the Esports World Cup 2025. He later joined Ninjas in Pyjamas as chief operating officer of its esports division.
Team Falcons appointed Jordan Savelli as its Global Director of Esports in December 2025. Savelli leads the organisation’s global esports operations, while Bani Baker’s role covers the MENA region.
