SteelSeries to Equip CGN Esports Across GSA

SteelSeries will supply mice, keyboards, headsets and mousepads to CGN Esports’ pro teams and creators in Germany, Switzerland and Austria on a multi-year deal.

SteelSeries will supply mice, keyboards, headsets and mousepads to CGN Esports’ professional teams and creators across Germany, Switzerland and Austria under a multi-year partnership. The peripheral maker becomes the official provider for CGN’s top competitive divisions. The SteelSeries logo will appear on team jerseys during tournaments and broadcasts, and its hardware will be used in player stations and creator setups.

The agreement covers CGN’s VALORANT roster, which won the VALORANT Challengers 2026 GSA: Evolution Stage 1 title, and German Fortnite professional Jannis “JannisZ” Matwin. CGN and SteelSeries plan online promotions and in-person activations for fans in the GSA region.

David Dick, chief operating officer of CGN Esports, described the partnership as: “SteelSeries is one of the most iconic brands in esports. For us, the partnership goes far beyond performance. It is about shared passion for the game and a deep connection to the community. Together, we want to bring the brand closer to our fans, create real moments online and offline, and shape the future of gaming culture in the GSA region.”

SteelSeries marked its 25th anniversary this year and has expanded its esports partnerships, signing deals with Dignitas in North America and Dutch team Criminals. The CGN agreement is part of a broader trend of hardware makers signing longer-term sponsorship and infrastructure partnerships with professional teams.

Recent deals in the sector include CORSAIR’s reported seven-figure collaboration with FaZe Esports to co-develop pro-grade gear, Logitech G’s €2.5 million research investment with the University of Limerick and partnership with G2 Esports, and BenQ’s ZOWIE signing multiple agreements with teams and major events, including Counter-Strike 2 Majors in Budapest and Cologne. Financial terms and the exact length of the CGN-SteelSeries contract were not disclosed.

Under the contract, SteelSeries peripherals will be integrated into official competitive setups and used in creator content, while the organisations run joint promotions and community events across the GSA market.
