Riot Confirms K/DA’s ‘FIRESTARTER’ Release Time

Riot Games will premiere K/DA’s new song “FIRESTARTER” on YouTube at 7 p.m. PDT on Oct. 18, or 10 p.m. EDT. The premiere will take place at 2 a.m. UTC on Oct. 19. Riot has posted the YouTube link for the release.

The official music video will feature MIYEON and SOYEON of i-dle, along with Sophie Powers and Mimi Webb. Riot confirmed the release four days after teasing K/DA’s return with images of Ahri, Akali, Evelynn and Kai’Sa, plus the phrase “Start a Fire” and a reference to Oct. 20.

MIYEON and SOYEON were part of K/DA’s original 2018 lineup. They provided the vocals for Ahri and Akali, respectively. Powers and Webb are joining the project for “FIRESTARTER.”

K/DA is a virtual group based on four League of Legends champions: Ahri, Akali, Evelynn and Kai’Sa. Previous songs featured Madison Beer, Jaira Burns, Bea Miller, Wolftyla and Lexie Liu.

An unreleased song titled “WATCH ME” also drew attention before Riot confirmed “FIRESTARTER.” The track reportedly appeared in the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers database in August. Its registration listed Felicia “Feli” Ferraro, Nija Charles, Ali Tamposi, Federico Vindver and Sébastien Najand as songwriters. Riot has not confirmed whether “WATCH ME” is a separate K/DA song or is connected to “FIRESTARTER.”

K/DA’s most recent musical release was the five-track “ALL OUT” EP in November 2020. It included “MORE” and “THE BADDEST,” which followed the group’s debut single, “POP/STARS.”

Released during Worlds 2018, “POP/STARS” passed 100 million YouTube views in about one month and topped the World Digital Song Sales chart. Its music video has since exceeded 668 million views.

Other League of Legends music projects have released songs in 2026. HEARTSTEEL released “Live My Life” in September, True Damage returned with “Know My Name” as the Worlds 2026 anthem, and Pentakill appeared in an orchestral version of the tournament theme.
