LOUD wins VALORANT Champions 2026 for second world title
LOUD beat Team Vitality 3-1 in Shanghai to win VALORANT Champions 2026, becoming the first organization to claim the world title twice.
LOUD defeated Team Vitality 3-1 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai to win VALORANT Champions 2026 and become the first organization to win the game’s world championship twice.
The Brazilian organization returned to the top four years after winning its first Champions title in Istanbul. LOUD reached the grand final after beating Paper Rex 2-0, reigning world champions NRG 2-1 and Vitality 2-1 in the upper-bracket final.
LOUD rebuilt its roster after missing Champions in 2025. None of the starting players from its 2022 championship team remained in the lineup in Shanghai.
The new roster included Brazilians Lucca “lukxo” Travaioli and Enzo “tkzin” Zimiani, Chilean in-game leader Roberto “erde” Lobos, Colombian player Sebastián “Darker” Castro Cicuamia and Portugal’s David “DaviH” Cruz. With an average age of slightly more than 20, the lineup became the youngest team to reach and win a VALORANT Champions grand final, according to the tournament record.
Erde, who was 18 during the event, won the tournament’s MVP award and ceremonial bracelet. He was the youngest player on LOUD’s roster.
DaviH became the first Portuguese player to win the Champions title. Darker became the first Colombian player to lift the trophy, while Erde became the first Chilean champion.
Tkzin recorded three aces in one best-of-three series, becoming the first player in Champions history to achieve the feat. Lukxo recorded five four-kill rounds in one best-of-three match, setting a VCT record.
