IEM Cologne Major 2026: Stage 1 team profiles and stats
Profile graphics for all 32 Stage 1 teams include player ratings, season stats, map records and three attribute scatterplots ahead of the Cologne Major.
Profile graphics and data-driven breakdowns for all 32 teams in Stage 1 of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 were released ahead of the tournament in Cologne. The packs include player ratings (since Jan. 1), CT/T-side positions, Major appearances, role color-coding, team map pools by total wins and three attribute charts covering Firepower vs Utility, Opening vs Clutching and Entrying vs Trading (metrics from July 1 onward).
Each team graphic shows an internal power ranking, recent event results and a rolling points-based ranking since January 2026. Roles are color-coded for AWPers, closers, openers, anchors/support and in-game leaders. Map pools are ordered by wins to reflect both frequency and success on each map since January 1.
Several team-level statistics stand out. GamerLegion are one of five teams averaging over 50% T-side win rate at MVP events in 2026 and hold an 82.5% record in 5v4 situations. Sebastian “Tauson” Tauson Lindelof credited Snax’s in-game leadership for improving mid-round control: “Right now, Snax is doing a very good job at controlling our mid-rounds and really setting the idea of the round, painting the picture for us.” BetBoom are 14-1 on Dust2 on LAN in 2026 but select the map in fewer than 25% of series; their registered Major lineup has only two official appearances together. B8 rely on Andrii “npl” Kukharskyi for impact; he is the only B8 player above a 1.00 rating at notable events this year, and B8 lead all attendees in LAN best-of-one wins since 2025.
Established rosters show mixed activity. MIBR’s Klimentii “kl1m” Krivosheev and Felipe “insani” Yuji average a combined 1.18 rating at notable events, and the team completed a 31-day break from officials while bootcamping ahead of Cologne. HEROIC field Simon “yxngstxr” Boije as a makeshift AWPer; his sniping attribute ranks lowest among primaries at the event, while team tracking data records respectable AWP numbers on CT side. BIG are one of four Major teams that have not attended a notable event in 2026; they qualified with limited exposure to top-20 opposition. Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz has moved into a fully supportive role to accommodate Johannes “blameF” Bremer’s IGL fragging style.
North American and rising regional teams present specific trends. Liquid have the lowest T-side win rate among attendees at 42% and a weak best-of-one record. NRG show heavier defensive results with a 58% CT win rate versus 43% on T side and arrive on a five-match losing streak that included enforced lineup changes. Lynn Vision qualified after a mix of opponent forfeits and tournament wins and lead attendees in flash assist rate at 0.37 per round; AWPer z4KR provides 0.15 flash assists per round on his own.
Map-specialist details include SINNERS at 8-1 on Overpass over the last three months and a BCG Masters final win over BIG on a deciding map. Sharks are 25-10 on Nuke in 2026 but have dropped three of their last five matches on the map. FlyQuest have played 46 maps this year, the fewest among attendees, and have not faced a top-20 team in 2026. Gaimin Gladiators are the oldest roster at Cologne with an average age of 30.7 years and include former Major winner fer attempting a return. THUNDER d-downedUNDER began 2026 with 20 consecutive series wins in Oceania.
The profiles are intended as a pre-tournament reference for fans and analysts, combining player-level ratings, role visuals, map records and attribute scatterplots. The graphics and data will be updated with live results as teams progress through the Cologne Major.
